We’re a family-run coffee shop with over 200 years of heritage, set in a beautifully restored riverside mill in Chelmsford.
We serve freshly made food, carefully chosen coffee, and bold, comforting flavours — from our much-loved bacon baguette to handmade sausage rolls and globally inspired sandwiches.
This is a place to slow down, feel at home, and enjoy great coffee and good company.

From generous breakfasts and leisurely brunches to well-balanced lunches, our menu is designed to delight every palate — offering a mix of comforting café favourites and fresh, seasonal dishes, both sweet and savoury.
The place really is that good. Great decor and vibe. Lovely people. Amazing coffee. - They roast it themselves so it is really fresh. Sandwiches to die for and a legendary sausage roll.

This little coffee shop is an absolute gem. They serve a cracking selection of carefully sourced pastries & cakes, great sausage rolls and sourdough toasties— the sort of food that makes you briefly consider abandoning your adult responsibilities — alongside excellent coffee and teas. The only real problem you’ll face is choosing what to order. It’s a delicious dilemma.
